Tasks of the Office of the General Director include:

1. performing activities and servicing tasks within the scope of tasks assigned by law to the General Director, not restricted to the competences of other organisational units;
2. coordination of activities pertaining to public procurement procedures, in particular in the scope of pre-privatisation analyses;
3. performance of tasks pertaining to protection of persons and property;
4. performance of tasks imposed on the Minister of Treasury within the scope of protection of confidential information;
5. carrying out activities connected with administration of the Ministry property;
6. keeping analytical records and making settlements of the Ministry assets;
7. preparing and conducting periodic inventorying of the Ministry assets, including IT equipment;
8. building investments and renovations in the Ministry’s building and in facilities under permanent administration of the Ministry;
9. carrying out activities of technical nature, ensuring proper functioning of the Ministry;
10. running the Ministry’s general chancellery;
11. maintaining the company archive and the library;
12. ensuring that transportation needs of the Ministry’s organisational units are met;
13. performance of tasks pertaining to fire protection;
14. performance of tasks pertaining to civil defence;
15. carrying out, in consultation with the Office of the Minister, organisation and technical activities connected with performance of examinations for candidates for members of supervisory boards in companies with the Treasury shareholding;
16. coordination of activities aimed at updating and development of the comprehensive Information Technology Programme implemented at the Ministry, including management and supervision over the processes of creation, development, protection and use of the Ministry’s Integrated IT System (Zintegrowany System Informatyczny – ZSI);
17. management and administration of all the resources of the Integrated IT System;
18. provision of organisational and system security measures as regards protection of the Ministry’s IT resources as well as supervision of implementation and observance of those measures;
19. implementation – in cooperation with the Office of the Minister – of procedures, security measures and documentation required for implementation of relevant provisions regulating requirements for IT systems in which personal data are processed;
20. supervision and coordination of activities of other organisational units of the Ministry as regards expenditure of funds allocated to IT equipment and infrastructure, including its maintenance and development;
21. fulfilment of the orders of the Ministry’s organisational units with respect to equipment, software, data access, registration and processing (implementation arrangements in cooperation with organisational units);
22. technical maintenance of access to the data stored in databases of other external institutions collected by Ministry’s organisational units;
23. technical maintenance and administration of the Ministry’s IT system (SIR) – a central register of entitled persons, as set forth in Article 19 of the Act of July 8, 2005 on Exercising the Right to Compensation Arising from Leaving Real Property Outside the Current Borders of the Polish State, and cooperation with the Department of Restitution and Compensation in this respect;
24. coordination of activities connected with building and maintenance of the Ministry’s Internet structure, including the exchange of data with Regional Offices of the Minister of Treasury and other central units;
25. coordination, in consultation with the Office for Human Resources, of activities in scope of IT trainings for the Ministry’s employees;
26. monitoring of the use of IT systems.
