LUMEL.S.A. is the leader on the Polish and European market in the area of innovative solutions and in the manufacture of industrial automation equipment as well as pressure castings. Business operations of the company is focused on 4 major areas:  manufacture of industrial automation equipment for the measurement, processing, control, recording, transmitting and visualization of industrial processes;  manufacture and machining of precise pressure aluminium alloy castings and manufacture of moulds and tools; design and manufacture of automation systems; contract assembly of electronic components using various technologies as well as assembly of fine mechanics components, in particular components for industrial automation equipment.
Lumel operates mainly on the B2B market, but also on the B2C. Sales structure of industrial automation equipment is as follows: 62% - domestic, 38% - exports, while the one for precise pressure castings: 32% - domestic, 68% - exports. Major markets of Lumel operations, apart from the domestic one are: EU market, Russia and Ukraine, Middle East countries.
Lumel intends to develop its industrial automation equipment range, in particular its control and measurement equipment by the application of state-of-the-art controllers and processors that enable operation of such equipment in network communication systems. This target is expected to be accomplished by consolidating its current product range and launching new products – solutions based on new processor technologies.
Major plans for the continually increasing demand for aluminium castings include construction of a new manufacturing plant and continual upgrading of machine stock and seeking new customers from the industrial automation and automotive sectors. Industrial automation equipment play increasingly important role in optimizing and achieving repeatability of manufacturing processes.
The market of aluminium pressure die castings has seen dynamic growth since the 70s of the previous century. Major portion o castings manufactured by Lumel is directed to the industrial automation sector. The remaining portion is supplied to automotive, lighting and other sectors. There few companies with production profile comparable to that of Lumel on the Polish market (mould design and manufacture, casting, precision machining, varnishing, assembling). New orders from regular customers are a confirmation of Company’s price competitiveness.
