Description of activity
The principal scope of Company's business involves transmission and distribution of electricity which supplies production equipment of ArcelorMittal Poland SA Huta Królewska Branch in Chorzów (AMP). Sales to AMP constitute about 90% of the total electricity supplied by Huta Kosciuszko S.A. The Company is also involved in railway freight services (which includes taking coaches from the Polish State Railways tracks) provided for AMP in almost 100% using its own railway siding. For AMP, Huta also provides security services (it has license for security services with respect to persons and property, valid until 2014). In addition, the entity rents company-owned property estates, for use as storage, office and production facilities as well as garage and advertising space. The main trading partners of Huta Kosciuszko include Chorzów Power Plant, Vattenfall Sales Poland and Upper Silesia Water Supply. Company's development strategy assumes completion of sale of post-industrial land belonging to Huta and development of the existing services offered to entities that acquire these lands. Due to its location and infrastructure links, the dominant recipient of Company's services is ArcelorMittal Poland SA Huta Królewska Branch in Chorzów. Services for private individuals concern only land rental intended for perspective garage use.

Planned privatisation
The Treasury holds 100% of the Company shares. Sale of 85% of Company share capital is planned by way of negotiations undertaken on the basis of public invitation. The remaining 15% of the shares, in accordance with the Act on Commercialisation and Privatisation, will be provided free of charge to employees of the Company.
