Description of activity

Beskidzki Hurt Towarowy has been established in the framework of the government programme as a cross-border wholesale market for farm and food products. It is located at expressway S-1 at a distance of 30 kilometres away from the border with the Czech Republic and 40 kilometres away from the border with Slovakia. The purpose of the market is to organise sales and to supply shops in the Podbeskidzie area and the border areas. The objects of activity of Beskidzki Hurt Towarowy also include renting and administering its own property. In addition, on Sundays the Company operates a local marketplace where local manufacturers of furniture, shoes, clothes, etc. can sell their products. This activity brings nearly 50% of BHT revenues. The Company has an ownership title to the plots with an area of 11.34 hectares located at the S-1 Bielsko Biała - Cieszyn road. The BHT built-up property includes buildings and infrastructure. In the close vicinity of the place where the Company operates there are no other entities operating in the form of farm and food wholesale market. The existing markets of this kind in Katowice supply the Upper Silesia Agglomeration. The BHT competitors include wholesale supply centres and distribution networks, such as Makro Cash and Carry which is also located in the vicinity of expressway S-1.
