Description of activity

The company activities are research and development works as well as implementation works with respect to technical and technological progress, environmental protection and monitoring workplace hygiene in the wood based panels sector. The company also manufactures, upon individual order, unique laboratory instruments and other devices for industry. The company’s Accredited Research Laboratory carries out testing of hygiene conditions, as well as of physical and mechanical properties of wood based products. These tests are required in order to obtain by manufacturers and importers necessary certificates and technical approvals. The company also performs measurements of air pollution emissions and carries out control of workplace conditions. Upon individual order as well as for company own needs the company manufactures devices for conducting research on the technology of manufacture of hardboards, chipboards, as well as composite products based on wood, thermoplastics and fibres. Specialist equipment owned by the company as well as organisation of work allow the company to cooperate closely with industry and individual customers by adjusting the range of its services to their needs. As regards testing product hygiene, the company customers are manufacturers and importers of wood based panels and their buyers, mainly from the furniture industry. At present, the company has land properties of a total area of 1.39.07 ha, including 1.05.66 ha in Czarna Woda (Pomorskie Province) and 0.33.41 ha in Ruciane-Nida (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province). In Czarna Woda, the company has facilities of a total area of 2.290,56 sqm and a total capacity of 11.599 cubic meters (laboratories, pilot plant, workshop facilities, warehouse facilities, utility rooms, etc.). In Ruciane-Nida, the company has a two-storey laboratory building of a total area of 2,150.2 sqm and a total capacity of approx. 9,700 cubic meters. This building is leased to LIGNOLAB Spółka z o.o. The company also co-owns two residential buildings in Czarna Woda. The company sees its development opportunities in markets of the former Soviet Union, mainly Russia. The company plans to focus its operations on development of works in scope of recycling and use of waste derived from manufactured products. The company, as the only company in Poland, systematically conducts skill improvement trainings for specialists from the wood based panels industry.
