Description of activity

The company in engaged in publishing activities. It specialises in scientific books and popular science books.
The company publishes own publications, as well as subsidised publications (by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation, Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation), as well as ordered publications (mainly by universities and higher schools). The published books are on humanities, language studies, archaeological studies and legal studies.
Last year the company published 72 titles, of which 20 are own publications, 18 are ordered publications, and the remaining 34 are subsidised publications. Seven out of the nine academic course books published by the company are on the list of books financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This way Wydawnictwo Poznańskie strengthened its position on the domestic market of academic books on the humanities.
In the nearest future the company plans to continue publishing activities. It also assumes an increase of the number of academic course books and teaching aids. Marketing of new course books should secure the company financial stability for the years to come.
