FAMED Łódź is one of the leading Polish and worldwide known manufacturers of high quality electromedical equipment and apparatus. It specializes in the production of operating and examination lights. Its offer also includes diagnostic lights and germicidal lamps, air-flow germicidal units and X-ray film viewers. The Company’s customers include Public Health Service entities, Private Health Service entities (clinics, surgeries, veterinary clinics), beauty salons and domestic and foreign distributors of medical equipment. Despite strong competition the Company’s share in the domestic market is estimated at 9 percent. Thanks to the competitive prices and easy operation, Company’s products may be exported to the markets characterized by lower level of medical equipment maintenance and repair services. FAMED cooperates with reputable suppliers of raw materials and parts, such as ELFA Elektronika Sp. z o.o., Elektrogiełda Spółka Jawna (electrical and electronic components), Centrostal S.A., Huta Szkła Jasło Sp. z o.o. and Xenon Spółdzielnia Pracy (plastics). The Company’s strategy is mainly focused on the development of light generation technologies in view of the needs of the market of medical services. The Company plans to invest in further improvement of the equipment for lighting a surgeon’s workplace. The Medilux light range as well as audio-video lines used at the operating theatres will be modernized. The offer will be extended by a range of LED-based lights. The Company has technologies that could be used in quite new production branches and in equipment dedicated to new customers. FAMED makes sure that its products have all the necessary certificates to allow their sale within the European Union. Industrial models are registered on an ongoing basis.
