Description of activity
The company BUMAR-KOSZALIN was established in 1945. It first offered auto repair services, gradually moving to production of specialist vehicles and construction machinery mounted on motor vehicle chassis such as tankers for transportation of foodstuffs, buses, basket access platforms, cranes mounted on Star chassis, concrete mixers on vehicle chassis. Currently, the company specialises in production of access platforms mounted on truck and vehicle trailer chassis. All access platform designs were developed by the company’s own Design Office. Products are manufactured in lots or by piece and sold on the domestic market (98%) and abroad (2%). The main customers of the company are: Fire Service, local self-government units, construction and assembly companies providing power engineering services, private electrical installation companies, construction and power engineering companies, and tool rental companies. The company offers a wide range of products and spare parts as well as a wide array of accessory materials and elements and therefore has an extensive base of suppliers, including mainly wholesalers and trade agents, as well as manufacturers of such groups of materials as: chassis, smelting goods, drives, electronic and pneumatic control systems, tools, paints, and industrial gases. The premises of the company BUMAR-KOSZALIN consist of 5 lots with a total area of 67,341 square meters. The buildings used by the company have a total area of around 1.4 ha. They include among others 7 production halls, 2 office buildings and 2 warehouses. BUMAR-KOSZALIN’s strategy of development for 2009-2011 is to continue its activities aimed at strengthening the company’s position as a leading producer of access platforms in Poland. The company also plans to expand its sale activities on South European and East European markets and to carry out further modernisation in scope of production technology, machine park, design solutions and IT techniques. The company will continue activities related to production organisation changes, decrease of operating costs and marketing new products meeting customers’ expectations. The company intends to retain its specialisation in manufacture of machinery for work at height.

Planned privatisation
April 4, 2012, the State Treasury and "Wawrzaszek ISS Limited Liability Company" partnership limited by shares with registered office in Bielsko-Biala, reached agreement for the sale of State Treasury's 5.8225 million names shares registered as "A" series of the Fabryka Maszyn „BUMAR – KOSZALIN” S.A. located in Koszalin, constituting 85% of its share capital at the cost of 7,627,475.00 zlotych, that is 1.31 zlotych per one share.
