Description of activity

The Company has been in business since 1875, but under the name Archimedes since 1878 and is Poland’s sole manufacturer of professional pneumatic tools, motoreducers and compressed air motors, hydraulic jacks for URSUS and ZETOR tractors as well as components and parts for tractor hydraulic systems. The company co-operates with Polish and foreign companies by manufacturing components and parts for various machinery and equipment. Share of Company’s products on the domestic market of pneumatic tools is around 28%, while the one for hydraulic tractor components is around 40%. Major customers are shipyards, ironworks, metal foundries, manufacturing and assembly plants, specialist manufacturing companies. The Company operates mainly on the wholesale market. 28% of Company’s output is exported. Domestic and foreign sale is made either through a network of dealers, or directly by the Company. Company’s machinery stock includes 300 machine tools for metalworking, from newest CNC controlled to conventional ones. It has a modern hardening line and heat treatment plant. The Company has gone through restructuring and has a good financial position.
