Description of activity

OZGraf offers printing services for Polish and foreign publishers in the scope of book printing and binding. Sales volumes achieved by the Company on the domestic and foreign markets in 2009 constituted 68% and 32% of the total sales volume respectively.
The Company carries out orders for leading Polish publishing houses. The key element of the Company’s production structure is the production of top quality hardback, mainly album-type hardcover books. In 2009, the Company produced a total of 7.3m books, including 5.5m hardbacks. The share of the latter in the Company’s annual turnover was 98.1%.
In 2009, the Company provided services for 142 customers. The largest of these customers, besides the leading Polish book publishers, were publishing houses from Denmark, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland.
Revenues from export production were ca. PLN 13.5m in 2009. Production-for-export output has been rising systematically for 12 years of the Company’s presence in the market, which indirectly shows that the Company is highly competitive.
OZGraf operates on the book printing market which constitutes about 20% of the entire printing market in Poland. Other segments of the latter include newspapers and magazines (50%) and job printing items (30%). The book printing market includes the printing of books and brochures as well as additional services such as bookbinding and print refining processes (lacquer coating, lamination, embossing or gilding). There are about 20 major entities operating in the Polish book printing market, which are engaged exclusively in the comprehensive book printing process that consists of printing and binding. The Company’s largest and most important competitors in the domestic printing market are private book printing houses. Among them are Zakłady Graficzne “Zapolex” Sp. z o.o. in Toruń, Drukarnia Perfekt S.A. in Warsaw, “Druk-Intro” S.A. and “Pozkal” in Inowrocław as well as “Edica” S.A. in Poznań.
