Description of activity

The company is engaged in automotive, railway and general machinery industries, rendering engineering design services, including performance, in-site assembly, start-up and maintenance. Operations of the company also include industrial project design, design of control systems and comprehensive engineering structure assembly, including technical and legal formalities. Taskoprojekt provides warranty and post-warranty service for its products. The key clients of the company operate in rail and automotive industries. Taskoprojekt renders its services mainly to domestic clients (approx. 90% of sales volume in 2009). The remaining 10% is rendered abroad, mainly to clients from the Czech Republic, Germany and the Russian Federation. The services are provided on B2B basis, though intermediaries – foreign trade enterprises such as BARTIMPEX and KOLMEX, or through Polish business entities. The company is among the regular suppliers of Volkswagen Poznań. Taskoprojekt rents a production and assembly plant where assembly works and machine and device tests take place. The plant is also used for preparing products for shipment to client. One of the biggest assets of the company is qualified professional staff 80% of which are engineers, technologists and designers. Other advantages include long-term collaboration agreements concluded with suppliers and business partners as well as flexibility in the performance of individual orders placed by clients. Taskoprojekt fulfils orders for industry branches with limited performance requirements, at the same time offering highly precise and automated devices. According to the development plan, the company plans to purchase cutting-edge design software and production-and-assembly machines as well as to modernise its existing computers and devices. At the same time, Taskoprojekt aims to provide professional training for its employees in order to upgrade their qualifications. The company implements ongoing measures to diversify areas of its business operations. Presently, the company is engaged in talks with investors involved in wind-farm construction project, including preparation of technical analyses and initial offers. Taskoprojekt also draws up projects of atypical transport and handling devices.

Planned privatisation

On May 30, 2011 the Minister of Treasury has signed the agreement regarding selling 64.600 shares of the Company, constituting 85% of the initial capital of the Company to Przedsiębiorstwa Badań i Ekspertyz Środowiska SEPO Sp. z o.o. seated in Knurów, for the total price of 3.986.466,00 PLN (61.71 PLN for one share). The selling was conducted upon the provisions of the art. 33 ust. 1 pkt 5 of Law on Commercialisation and Privatisation dated August 30, 1996 (Journal of Law from 2002 r. No 171, item 1397, with amendments) , namely public auction.
