Description of activity

Supon is the leading Polish producer of fire fighting equipment. The factory carries out the complete production process including: designing of products, castings, moulds and tooling, aluminium gravity and pressure die casting, machining, surface treatment and assembly. High quality of company products and its functionality are confirmed by certificates of Polish Research and Scientific Centre for Fire Protection. Also, apart from fire fighting equipment the range of products includes trigger-infuse fittings for the petrol and oil sector, automotive components, actuator and gear box casings. Upon special orders the company manufactures aluminium castings. Market share of the company on the fire fighting and fire protection valve markets is estimated at 60% to 70%, and in the industrial and special purpose coupling sector – around 35%. Major customers are domestic and foreign trading and manufacturing companies as well as fire brigade units. Direct import accounts for 40% of the product sales volume and sales to agents of foreign customers accounts for ca. 15% of the sales volume. At present, products are exported to such countries as: Germany, Austria, France, Slovenia, Rumania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, South Africa. Further development of the manufacturing capacities is focused on maintaining the position of leading Polish producer of fire fighting equipment as well as increasing exports of industrial and fire couplings. According to the relevant plans the company is expected to move its operations to a new facility suitable for the production purposes and gradually purchasing newest foundry, machining and control machinery and equipment.
