Katowickie Przedsiębiorstwo Geologiczne Sp. z o. o. is a major and experienced business partner in its field, with an established market position. It specializes in geological research, including projects and geological documentation of deposits (hydrogeological and geological-engineering) as well as other geological studies.
The Company’s main customers are the Ministry of the Environment and the Polish Geological Institute (around 50% share in the revenues derived from the sale of services), black coal mine companies (around 30% share) and regional or local authorities (around 5% share in sales)
The Company has its own registered office, a modern office building, a building intended for laboratory and garage as well as a large attractively located land in the centre of Katowice, with a very convenient communications system, giving the company considerable opportunities for expansion and extending the scope of its activity. The Company’s main asset is qualified personnel consisting of geologists with higher education, vast experience and appropriate qualifications. Moreover, the company prides itself on having a collection of its own study records comprised of around fifteen thousand items stored also in a digital version. The Company is mainly provided with specialist equipment (including software) used for conducting geological work and research.
The market in which Katowickie Przedsiębiorstwo Geologiczne Sp. z o. o. operates is specific and accessible only to a limited number of contractors who have highly qualified personnel. The most important factors influencing the total number and sort of orders are the policy, priorities and plans of the Ministry of the Environment as well as financial means of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The Company is planning to strengthen its position on the market by maintaining its current profile and attracting qualified specialists in selected fields of geology with the purpose of extending the Company’s offer.
