Description of activity

The Company operates in the public utility construction, industrial construction and house building sectors. Its other activities include production of concrete and prefabricated concrete elements, production of steel constructions, flashing and small-scale production of wooden joinery. The Company provides equipment and transportation services, as well as property development services (sale of apartments, garages and property built on land owned by the company). Kombinat Budowlany Kołobrzeg sp. z o.o. is one of the largest construction and service companies operating within the Kołobrzeg County. High quality services, confirmed by numerous reference letters received from clients for works conducted in the previous years, along with timeliness and a complex nature of performed operations enable the Company to successfully compete with other entities operating in the local market with respect to comprehensive services, particularly for large scale projects. The Company’s key clients include mainly national authorities and institutions, as well as private companies, individual investors and clients operating in the region. Major suppliers are reputable companies conducting their businesses on the domestic market, such as Zakłady Eksploatacji Kruszywa Wł. Durał-Boboliczki, Górażdże Cement Sp. z o.o. - Chorula, P.W. Hurtownia Stali SILWA-Gniezno, Thyssenkrupp Energostal-Toruń, Staler Market Sp. z o.o. Toruń, as well as suppliers operating locally. The production materials purchased by the company from the above-mentioned suppliers include cement, ready-mix concrete, construction and road-building aggregates (sand, gravel, grit, muck) as well as steel mill products such as wires, wire fences, metal bars and sheets, pipes and reinforcements. The main objectives of the Company’s development strategy include in particular the construction and sale of residential property and property built on land owned by the company. The company owns real properties in Kołobrzeg (total area of 29,931 sqm), Zieleniewo near Kołobrzeg (total area of 2,432 sqm) and Rościęcin near Kołobrzeg (total area of 46,994 sqm). The other objectives include maintaining the sales of apartments and premises at the current levels, modernising the production plant for carrying out supporting activities (specialising in the production of ready-mix concrete, prefabricated components made of ferro-concrete, and reinforced concrete and woodworking products), and increasing the production of prefabricated components. The Company is also intending to boost concrete production and its sales to local clients, improve the overall quality of production, cut costs and increase the level of works performed for external investors.
