Jeleniogórska Przędzalnia Czesankowa ANILUX S.A. seated in Jelenia Góra

Description of activity

The Company is a manufacturer of knitting wool for hand knitting, knitting yarns and textiles. It has a more than 60-year tradition in the production of knitting wools and the largest manufacturer of these products in Poland (about 70% of the domestic production output). Its knitting wools bear a trademark protected by the law and quality certificates. Knitting wools for hand knitting are mainly sold to retail networks all over the country and nearly 5% is exported to the EU countries. Knitting yarns are manufactured for knitting plants, manufacturers of fabrics and textile products. The Company has a great experience in the production of fancy, mohair and other yarns featuring unique designs. The main customers for yarns include nearly 40 domestic knitting plants, weaving plants and other manufacturers of textile products. The Company manufactures textile products, including bath mats made of its own yarn. The Company’s production capacity amounts to approx. 50 tonnes of wool and yarns per month. The basic equipment consists of a production line for manufacturing medium thick to thick classical yarns, production line for manufacturing fancy yarns, dye house, testing laboratory, production line for manufacturing bath mats and gas-fired boiler room for technological steam generation. The main objectives of the Company’s development strategy include increasing its share in the domestic market of knitting wool for hand knitting, increasing production and sales of yarns and increasing its export sales. The investment plan envisages the purchase of modern, highly efficient spinning machines. The biggest competition for Company’s products is the import of cheap textile products from China and East Asia. The Company sees its development opportunities in the production of the so-called niche yarns, in short batches, made to specific customer orders.
