WITAR Group is a leader in the Polish sawmilling industry. It specializes in the production of sawn timber and its products, such as wooden structures, floor and wall materials, rafter framing, soundproof screens, elements of small-scale garden architecture, rail sleepers and switch sleepers. WITAR Group operates construction yards specializing in the trade of highest quality construction materials. Their offer is addressed to both individual and business customers, to the domestic and foreign market. The timber industry market where WITAR Group’s companies operate is a very scattered market. Both domestic and foreign firms compete on this market. In 2005, the company recorded PLN 43.8 million in sales (while the whole Group PLN 50,5 million). In 2006, the company’s revenues amounted to PLN 11.9 million (PLN 41.2 million for the whole Group), and in 2007 PLN 2.8 million (PLN 53.3 million for the whole Group).
