Śląska Wytwórnia Wódek Gatunkowych POLMOS specializes in the production of flavoured and unflavoured vodkas. Extra Żytnia is its leading product. The second important product is Advocaat egg liqueur being a leader in its category. ŚWWG POLMOS’s share in the domestic market is estimated at 3-4%. ŚWWG POLMOS’s production is based on the state-of-the-art. technology. The high quality of its products has been confirmed by the HACCP system in place since 2004 and ISO 9001:2001 quality management system implemented in 2008. ŚWWG POLMOS sells its products through wholesalers and directly to the retail chains. In the first half of 2008 company’s products reached 195 wholesalers across the whole country, 5 big retail networks and to nearly 6 000 retail outlets. 97% of alcohol volume sales (in litres) is accomplished in Poland. Export sales make up 3% of the company’s production. The company’s objective is to increase the foreign sales. Suppliers in the spirit beverage sector compete with each other with their leading brands the image of which is built with the use of large promotional budgets. Sales support also contributes to the success of leading producers, with the key role of sales teams that operate in the corporate structures and reach retail outlets as well as retail and catering chains. In 2005, the ECOD Agent sales support system was implemented the aim of which is to facilitate the control over team operation and to enable taking advantage of a wide range of data gathered by the sales representatives.
