Mazowiecka Wytwórnia Wódek i Drożdży Polmos is mainly a producer of distilled spirit products and ethanol. The company also deals with the trade of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It generates and distributes steam and hot water. Its share by volume in the market of spirit products is estimated at 2.3%. This places the company in the top ten of the best and largest producers of vodka in Poland. In addition, Polmos has a strategic partner, Diageo Polska for which it produces Smirnoff Vodka. The Polmos’s most recognizable brands include, among other, Wiśniówka Cherry Cordial and Wódka z Czerwoną Kartką. The company sells its products through three channels: the wholesale channel accounting for 80% of sales volume, network (modern) channel generating 18% of the sales volume and retail channel. The plant cooperates with the Polish largest firms specializing in the sale and distribution of spirit products: Żywiec Trade, Alti Plus, Janus. The company operates on a growing and perspective market. Apart from Mazowiecka Wytwórnia Wódek i Drożdży Polmos, this market is shared among: Grupa CEDC, Grupa Sobieski, Polmos Lublin, V&S Luksusowa, P. Ricard with Wyborowa, Brown Forman with Finlandia, Polmos Bielsko Biała, Polmos Józefów and Diageo with Smirnoff. The development strategy Mazowiecka Wytwórnia Wódek i Drożdży Polmos assumes a growth in the sales of its own brands, both in the domestic and foreign markets. This growth is envisaged in the traditional and modern sales channels.
