Description of activity

The Company has tradition of 37 years of production and sales of textiles. The Company’s business is the production of knitted fabric on cylindrical machines of viscose, polyester and blended yarns, human friendly, complying with the most stringent quality specifications as well as tight ecological and safety of use standards. Additionally the company provides knitting, dyeing, printing and knitted fabric finishing contract services for other companies. Knitted fabrics from “Teofilów” are applied in the production of children’s and baby wear, sportswear, bed linen, nightwear, underwear and lingerie, women’s/ men’s wear and furnishing articles. The main asset of “Teofilów” is its continual commitment to add variety and extend the range of products to meet new demands and expectations of customers. “Teofilów” is Poland’s largest knitted fabric manufacturer. Zakłady Tekstylno-Konfekcyjne “Teofilów” S.A. has a stock of machinery from reputable West European manufacturers which is continually upgraded and customized to follow market changes and environmental protection requirements. Due to the variety of the produced and proposed product range, our offerings are addressed to two basic groups of customers: clothing manufacturers as well as wholesale and retail sales companies. Current sales structure of the Company is as follows: 70% - domestic sales and 30% - sales to foreign markets (essential exports directions are: Russia, Belarus and Ukraine). The Company co-operates with around 500 clothing companies in Poland and abroad. It purchases input materials (yarns, dyes and chemicals) from the most well-known and reputable companies from all over the world. Production capacities are such that enable the company to produce 7 millions running metres of high quality knitted fabric. The major development direction is the implementation and development of technical fabrics. To this end new investments have been made into machinery stock but the development of this business requires further investments. In the European Union the textile industry undergoes very significant changes. An increasing portion of the produced textiles are highly technically advanced and highest quality products. A clear trend to convert the textile industry from labour consuming to science consuming. By increasing flexibility i.e. customising to differing order volumes and primarily shortening order cycle time as well as focusing on the quality of the manufacturing process the Company will be able to successfully compete with Asian manufacturers. Also, a trend is seen throughout Europe towards developing the production of technical fabrics that may be applied in many industries.
