"Wiedza Powszechna” is one of the oldest Polish publishing houses. Its publications are addressed to a wide range of readers, including schoolchildren and university students. Operating on a highly competitive market, the company focuses on publishing dictionaries, language guides, conversations, handbooks as well as lexicons, science and popular science books. The main advantages of "Wiedza Powszechna” are long traditions of publishing, recognizable brand, high content quality of publications and a good knowledge of the market and its needs enabling the continuous adaptation of its publishing offer. Its strength is also determined by a well-developed distribution network encompassing a number of selected partners - the largest wholesalers, bookshop chains and bookshops. The publishing house itself also conducts the distribution through its mail order bookshop and participation in book fairs and exhibitions. It is worth noting that a number of customers from Europe and both Americas are also interested in Wiedza Powszechna's offer. The most important foreign customers include: "Der Kurier der Zarin” from Berlin, ,"Podnikovy Institut” from Ołomuniec and ,"La Libraire Europeene” from Brussels. The company's major suppliers comprises printing houses in Poznań, Pabianice, Warszawa and Białystok. Over the period of more than fifty years, the publishing house issued 5457 titles with the total output of nearly 107 775 000 copies.
