Polish Market Online, 09.03.2010

According to the latest report issued by Cushman & Wakefield on the Polish real estate market in the first quarter of 2010, the investments on the commercial property market recovered: in the first two months of 2010 the volume of transactions almost reached the level reported in 2009. This trend is proceeding and the total volume of transactions for 2010 is expected to be 3 times higher than in 2009. Investments that are regarded as the safest, such as prime properties (mainly office and retail), arouse the highest interest among institutional investors. The liquidity of commercial real estate market may further improve as some owners agreed to accept lower prices in order to gain financial resources for new investments. The transaction volume on the office lease market is beginning to increase as well. Economic forecasts suggests that this year a slight increase in demand may be noticed, with bigger growth to occur in 2011. Improvement is also noticed on the modern industrial market, the year 2010 is expected to see a slight pick-up in the transactions’ number. More information
