Tasks of the Office of the Minister include:
1) organising work associated with the activity of the Minister as a government administration body, in particular:
a) organising and coordinating work associated with the preparation of documents and materials for the Minister for meetings of the Council of Ministers and Council of Ministers’ Committees;
b) coordinating the execution of tasks imposed by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister;
2) coordinating and monitoring the execution of tasks associated with the collaboration of the Minister and Senior Officials with the Sejm and the Senate;
3) forwarding information from meetings of the Council of Ministers, Council of Ministers’ Committees, the Sejm, the Senate and parliamentary commissions to the respective organisational units;
4) maintaining the records of Minister’s internal legal acts and monitoring formal requirements concerning their compliance;
5) elaborating and maintaining the records of Minister’s regulations concerning the organisation of the Ministry and the functioning of Regional Offices as well as editing the Official Gazette of the Minister of Treasury;
6) coordinating the execution of tasks and procedures set forth in the Act of 7 July 7 2005 on Lobbying Activity in the Lawmaking Process (Journal of Laws of 2009 No. 169, item 1414, No. 42, item 337) and in related internal regulations;
7) providing technical support and minutes-taking for meetings of the Ministry’s Panel and other meetings of Senior Officials and monitoring the implementation of decisions adopted at such meetings;
8) cooperating with other organisational units in matters related to organising official meetings and official foreign trips for Ministry’s Senior Officials;
9) segregating and distributing correspondence sent to the Minister;
10) carrying out time management and work coordination duties for the secretary’s offices of Ministry’s Senior Officials;
11) organising and supervising all matters associated with conducting and examinations for the members of supervisory boards in companies owned by the Ministry of Treasury, subject to Article 29(15);
12) maintaining the database of supervisory board member candidates;
13) coordinating the execution of tasks in Regional Offices in the scope not reserved for other organisational units of the Ministry and teams, including:
a) ensuring the uniform practice for exercising the rights handed over to Regional Offices;
b) coordinating the execution of Minister’s tasks by Regional Offices in the scope of supervising liquidation and bankruptcy processes of companies with the Treasury shareholding and state-owned enterprises supervised by the Minister;
c) preparing applications to the Council of Ministers for granting permission for direct privatisation of state-owned enterprises which do not meet the statutory criteria, in privatisation processes executed by voivodes (provincial governors);
d) monitoring the processes of replying to letters concerning the activity of the directors of Regional Offices;
e) organising meetings and training sessions for the directors and the personnel of Regional Offices;
f) elaborating informative materials concerning the operation of Regional Offices. -
The tasks of the Office in scope of social communication include:
1) performing tasks arising from the policy guidelines of the Ministry as regards the media, information and promotion, as specified by Ministry’s senior executives, in particular upon prior consultation with the Minister’s Political Office;
2) coordination of activities associated with presentation of the Minister’s policy, including cooperation with representatives of the media;
3) planning and coordination of communication services of the social aspects of key privatisation projects;
4) preparation of announcements and positions of the Minister in consultation with the organisational units of the Ministry and the Political Cabinet;
5) preparing press reviews and problem analyses, an analysis of information related to the activities of the Ministry on the basis of radio and TV materials;
6) editing and publishing, on the Ministry’s websites and in the Public Information Bulletin, drafts of legal acts, information, materials and positions pertaining to the tasks performed by the Ministry;
7) Within the Office exists an independent position of the personal data protection officer whose tasks include the administration of information security and other tasks indicated in a separate regulation of the Minister.
