Poland: GDP growth by 1.7% in Q3 of 2009

Poland’s GDP in Q3 amounted to 1.7%. Poland is the only country in the European Union with a positive growth.

Compared to Q2 of 2009, Polish GDP rose by 0.6%. This result confirms that Poland is still one of the few countries that avoided the recession. Poland owes it positive economic results especially to favourable foreign trade balance, growth of private consumption and stable level of public investments and investments coming from EU funds.
