Consolidation of PERN “Przyjaźń” S.A. and “OLPP” Sp. z o.o.

On 10 November 2009, the Ministry of Treasury, represented by the Minister of Treasury, Aleksander Grad, signed an agreement with oil pipeline operator Przedsiębiorstwo Eksploatacji Rurociągów Naftowych "Przyjaźń" S.A. (“PERN”) with registered office in Płock under which shares owned by the Treasury in the company under the name of Operator Logistyczny Paliw Płynnych Sp. z o.o. (liquid fuels logistics operator) with registered office in Płock („OLPP”) were transferred to PERN „Przyjaźń'' S.A.

The transfer of the shares held by the Treasury in OLPP to PERN is part of the consolidation process involving the key logistic companies operating in the liquid fuels industry. The agreement gave birth to a new capital group Grupa Kapitałowa PERN „Przyjaźń” S.A. which will not differ significantly from other capital groups operating in the liquid fuels industry in Europe. Moreover, forming a strong capital group will be instrumental in enhancing the trustworthiness of its individual members and cutting the costs of their operation. It will also facilitate the merger of the companies which is due to take place in the future.

Cooperation of the two companies within the capital group is also beneficial in terms of improving Poland’s energysecurity.
