Ministry of Treasury meets Bilateral Chambers of Commerce

In November and December 2011, the Ministry of Treasury organized meetings with the representatives of, present in Poland, foreign companies. Meetings were organized in cooperation with American, Italian and German Chambers of Commerce.
Representatives of the Privatisation Department as well as Capital Markets Department presented the most interesting privatisation projects and summarized hitherto privatization activities. Investors were interested, not only, in privatisation of the biggest listed companies, but also in the privatisation of the small and medium companies, which is run through public auction, negotiations or public tender mode. The role of Warsaw as the regional financial center as well as strengthening the position of Warsaw Stock Exchange in the CEE region was also discussed.
The meetings met with a great interest, each of them was attended by almost 30 investors. As a result, first inquiries regarding specific privatisation projects have been submitted.
Similar meetings with Polish and foreign investors will be continued in the year 2012.
