CEE IPO Summit starts today

A two-day conference - CEE IPO Summit starts today in Warsaw. It is a unique event for companies from Central and Eastern Europe, for which the Warsaw Stock Exchange may be the source to obtain capital for further development, and for global financial investors seeking investment opportunities in this region. The conference will be attended by representatives of major banks, law firms and companies from the CEE region. The first day of the Summit will be opened by Mr Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland; Mr Aleksander Grad, Minister of Treasury of the Republic of Poland; Ms Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz , Mayor of Warsaw and Mr Ludwik Sobolewski, President of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The purpose of the Summit is to create a symbolic bridge connecting Central and Eastern European potential issuers with global investors. The CEE IPO Summit will provide a platform for sharing know-how and establishing business relations. Therefore, the agenda includes i.a. panel discussions for investors, discussions on the future of the region, regional IPO case study, companies presentations.

Poland, taking over the Presidency in the Council of the European Union in a few weeks time, is the best place to hold such a conference. WSE has strengthen its position as a regional financial center over the last couple of years. Key investors appreciate the maturity of the Polish market and the stability of the Polish economy, global investment banks open their offices in Poland to publish their reports here. All of these activities make the CEE region one of the most attractive places for global investors.
