Born on July 15, 1956 in Żabianka. Deputy for the Sejm of the V, VI, VII and VIII term.
In 1980 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Warsaw. In 1979-1990 he was a mathematics teacher at the Agricultural School Complex in Golądkowo.
He was the mayor of the municipality of Winnica in 1990-1998 and 1999-2005. From February 19 to December 31, 1998 he held the position of the Governor of Ciechanowskie Province. In 1999-2002 he sat in the regional council of Mazowieckie Province (elected from a list of the Solidarity Electoral Action).
In 1980–1981 he was a Chair of the NSZZ „Solidarność” Enterprise Commission at the Agricultural School Complex in Golądkowo. From 1989 to 1992 he chaired the Civic Committee of the municipality of Winnica. Member of the Catholic Action of the Diocese of Płock (vice-president of the Diocesan Board in 1999 - 2003) and Światło-Życie (Light-Life) Movement.
In 1992 - 2003 he was a member of the Christian-National Union.
From June 7, 2006 until November 16, 2007 he was the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Government Plenipotentiary for shaping the agricultural system.
Married, four children, six grandchildren.
